Reflection on the path from design to industrialisation
The event took place on March 26 at the LX Factory in Lisbon and was organised by CENTIMFE – Technological Centre for the Mould, Special Tools and Plastics Industry. It was attended by professionals from the automotive, aeronautics, health, packaging, naval, defence, sports, technology and design sectors. Participants discussed innovative solutions, development models and case studies.
The role of design in innovation
The first panel focussed on design as a driver of innovation. The experts presented strategies for integrating sustainability and artificial intelligence into the creative process. Solutions for making products more efficient and adapted to new market demands were also discussed.

The second panel looked at the impact of new technologies, such as additive manufacturing and artificial intelligence, on optimising industrial processes. Speed and efficiency in transforming concepts into final products were key points of the discussion.

The third panel presented success stories of companies that have managed to turn innovative projects into commercially viable products. The challenges of industrialisation, from the production stage to reaching the market, were discussed at length.
